Upcoming Federal Election

larrie — Thu, 03/31/2011 - 17:10

Hello Folks!
Well looks like another 'dog & pony' show has begun on the federal front. So what is the collective's view on how to vote?
a) spoil the ballot
b) Green Party vote
c) Non compliance
Any thoughts out there.
Remember "There are no more hopelessly enslaved than those who believe they are free"
Regards,
Larrie

Green vote

Genero — Sat, 04/16/2011 - 14:04

I think that I will vote for the Greens, because although the future seems dismal I would rather be fighting the holes in a Green Government platform than any other agenda.

I'll try to continue to help myself get off the money corporate system while believing in people just enough to let myself be surprised.

My thoughts

kwzeitgeist — Thu, 03/31/2011 - 20:01

Hi Larrie, thanks for the question! My personal view on this topic is (c) - non compliance, that may be because I really don't know the differences between the actors out there and the issues at stake, and I'm not going to vote on some random tidbit that I may agree on or disagree on that really will have no significant impact down the road.

Like the movement advocates that social decisions are made by technical resolution through the scientific method, anything less like popular opinions or majority votes are irresponsible and primitive.

Now if there was a candidate out there that did in some way support and agree with TZM or TVP I may reconsider and vote for them! :)

Agreed

I agree, it doesnt really matter who you vote for. Harper wants more fighter jets, Ignatieff wants to increase the health care budget by 6%(not anywhere near enough). The entire system is insanity, concept of money itself insanity, I was aware of this even before the Zeitgeist movement and the people who are in power don't really care about any one of us. If they did, they would be taking this movement seriously. Until then, I guess you could vote for the lesser of two evils?

I wonder if we will see change in our lifetime.
